"For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land."
Song of Solomon 2:11,12
I pray all of you are doing well and enjoying the beautiful signs of springtime that are showing up everywhere!
How grateful I am to the Lord to see another spring ushered in! I praise Him for sparing my family and me through another winter and so much sickness and for every moment He gives us together. He is a faithful God who never fails.
"It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in Him." Lamentations 3:22-24
Today, I wanted to drop by and share with you about a new project I have been working on and also introduce you to the person who helped make it possible! The project is two-fold.
#1. For a while, I have wanted to create audiobooks for Biblical Minimalism and the Homespun Devotions book series.
#2. I wanted to somehow combine elements from the Homespun Devotions blog, the Biblical Minimalism blog, and the music of the Mountain Hope Band to create something that would tie all of them together.
Though I have not yet been able to create actual audiobooks, Chase, a dear friend of our family, created an intro and background video to accompany my voice reading the books aloud to upload to YouTube. I am uploading the videos to a channel that we have had for several years and have recently renamed, Homespun Ministries. You will find my first upload at the end of this post.
If you are interested in hearing the books read aloud and any other content the Lord may lay on my heart to share, please consider visiting and subscribing to our channel.
Here is the beautiful intro video Chase created for us.
We are so grateful to Chase for creating exactly what we were looking for!
If you are looking for an excellent video editor or videographer who can make your idea and vision come to life, please consider Chase! He is a dedicated Christian who does an amazing job, is extremely prompt and the best communicator, and is honest, conscientious, and exceptionally detail-oriented. You can view his work and past projects at his website, Kingdom Crown Productions. If you would like to get in touch with Chase, you can reach him at kingdomcrownproductions@gmail.com.
Chase is also the owner of Locust and Honey, a small business that creates Organic Hand-Crafted Pomades and Grooming Products for men. These products are unique and rare because they are made from all-natural, healthy ingredients, with no harmful chemicals or detrimental additives.
Chase says, "Locust & Honey got its name from the prophet John, who ate nothing but locusts and honey in the wilderness while he awaited his appointed time to pave the way for the Light of the World, as described in Mark 1:6. He relied on Yahweh's provisions by means of the earth, and was wholly sustained by it.
Though not the pinnacle of the story, I believe this is a lesson to us; that we have everything we need. Yahweh sustains us through His creation, despite what the fake scientists tell you. I built Locust & Honey on a principle, that if you can't find it naturally on earth, you can't find it in my products either.
That is my mission, to bring men premium grooming products that give them both health and style, abundantly. It's time we get back to the basics, and say "no" to synthetic garbage."
Could you or someone you know benefit from Chase's all-natural, high-integrity men's products?
Right now, Chase is generously offering all Homespun Devotions readers a 15% discount! Just use the code HOMESPUN when checking out at Locust and Honey.
And today, we are super excited to offer a GIVEAWAY! The blessed winner will receive one each of the following Locust and Honey products~
and, last but definitely not least
This giveaway drawing will be held sometime on Sunday, 4/13/2025. Due to postage costs, the giveaway is only open to those who live in the Continental United States. Please do not leave an anonymous comment unless you include your name and an email address so we can contact you if you win. If you leave an anonymous comment with no contact information, sadly, we will not be able to enter your name into the giveaway. Please share this giveaway with others who may be interested in Chase's products and help us spread the word about his business!
By God's grace and Chase's professionally created intro and background video, I was able to record the first reading of Biblical Minimalism: Following Jesus from a Life of Abundance to a More Abundant Life. If you would like to hear Chapter One, click on the video below.
I will warn you that my part is far from professional—our sweet little cats were making noise in the background, and there are other imperfections, but I pray it will be a blessing to anyone who would prefer to hear the book rather than read it.
I pray the Lord will bless each person who ever reads these words. Whatever you are going through, rest assured that Jesus is walking through it with you. He will never leave you or forsake you. You are precious in His sight. I leave you with my favorite Bible verse.
"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness." Isaiah 41:10
Hi Cheryl!
ReplyDeleteI was happy to receive a notification from your blog, as I know there have been issues. I pray that it'll work now for you!
Beautiful picture Marilyn took! Spring is my favorite season. There aren't a lot of flowers in our city, but I was so happy to see bluebonnets beside the highway, with a few Indian paintbrush blooming too. I just love our state flower; they look like a small blue pond. :)
I'm so excited for Homespun Ministries and that God led you to Chase to help put it all together. I pray it'll be a blessing to many.
Seems like he has a nice business too! As my dad doesn't have a beard or mustache, please don't enter me in the giveaway. ;) But I'm so happy for the upcoming winner because they seem like great products!
Thank you for the verses and encouragement, sweet friend! May God bless you!
Much love,
Valentine
Oh, my! I am so thankful to have the blog issues fixed! It has been so frustrating and discouraging, but God! He is so faithful! Yes! Marilyn's photos are so beautiful. She does an amazing job! We are so thankful for Chase. He is so talented and such a precious friend to us and his work is impeccable. Thank you so much for your sweet visit and kind words! I pray God richly blesses you, too, and I send much love back to you and your family this morning!
DeleteOur weather forgot its spring. Its been cold, rainy and snowy. Next week it will be in the 80s. Go figure. I love audio books and I will definitely subscribe to your YouTube. Marilyn is such a talented photographer. I miss you all.on the Bible devotion group. If only I can get the app to work. Maybe I will see if the website is any better instead of the app.
ReplyDeleteWow! I can't believe you are still having snow. Our weather is supposed to turn cold again in a few days. I'm not sure what is going on! LOL! I am so happy you are going to subscribe to our channel! I am hoping to get the 2nd and 3rd chapters uploaded very soon. Yes! Marilyn's photos are so stunning! Oh, we miss you, too! I hope the Lord will make a way for you to come back to the study soon. God bless you!
DeleteOh, how exciting, Cheryl!! I can hardly wait to listen to the book read in your sweet voice. I have already subscribed to the new YouTube channel, as well. Spring has half-heartedly sprung here in the Midwest, but the weather can't make up its mind whether to be cold and rainy or sunny and very warm. It certainly isn't boring living here! Ha! May God's blessings pour forth on your precious family and on Chase and his business. I don't know any men who could use the products, so please don't enter me in the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Bronda
Thank you so much for your kind words, encouragement, and support, dear Bronda! I am so happy you subscribed and pray God will make it a blessing to you. I know what you mean about the weather! You are right, it sure isn't boring! Thank you so much for your kind words for our family and Chase and his business! It truly means so much! Sending much love to you this morning!
