My! I never intended to allow so much time to pass before publishing a new blog post! I think in all my years of blogging, this is the longest break I have ever taken. 

October 1st was Homespun Devotions' 13th Anniversary! Yes, that's right. Thirteen years ago, I wrote and posted my first blog post ever! In some ways, that feels like a few months ago. In others, it feels like an eternity. Oh, how life has changed for our little family since October 1, 2011! God has worked wonders in our lives and set us free from so much bondage and so many strongholds. Looking back, we can hardly believe the miracles God has wrought on our behalf as we have stepped forward, launched into the deep, and in reckless abandon, followed Jesus with all our hearts.

We were shopping together in a Goodwill store, and I heard the bell ring, alerting shoppers that a new cart of goodies had been brought in from the back of the store. As I reached the cart to see what was available, my eyes fell on a small book that appeared to be a Bible. Upon closer inspection, I realized it wasn't a Bible but contained a lot of Scripture, so I bought it. It literally changed my life —especially the chapter on healing.
