URGENT Prayers Needed!!

"Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
From the end of the earth will I cry unto Thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For You have been a refuge for me, a tower of strength before the enemy."
Psalm 61:1-3
(KJV)

Dear friends,
I write to you this beautiful New Years Day to request urgent prayer for my niece, Kristen.
 She is expecting her first child and is about 10-11 weeks along in her pregnancy.
She has been extremely ill throughout her pregnancy and a few weeks ago, she had to go to the ER, due to dehydration.
Due to the medical staff not properly inserting and flushing the IV, she developed a blood clot in her arm at the IV insertion site.
When she went back, due to the blood clot, they said it was superficial, and there wasn’t much they could do for it, due to her being pregnant.
Her arm has continued to swell, and the pain has been so severe that she has gotten to the point that she can hardly use it.
Today, she collapsed and is at the ER.
The doctors just confirmed that the blood clot has moved into her lung.
They are giving her the only drug they possibly can that will not harm the baby, and she is in the process of being admitted.
The doctor told her if she had not gotten there when she did, she would have died.

I am asking you, my dear praying friends, to PLEASE, please lift Kristen in prayer.
 PLEASE pray for the dear baby she is carrying, for the baby's father, Mike, and for my dear sister, Sandi, (Kristen's mother).

I know God has His eye on all of them, and He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we can ask or think.

Needless to say, we are so concerned and our hearts are very heavy.

Of late, God has inspired my faith in so many wonderful ways,
and today, that faith is being put to the test.
Faith will pass the test, because it is not placed in what I can see,
but it is placed in the immortal, Almighty God, the One Who can do all things.

"For we walk by faith, not by sight..."
2 Corinthians 5:7

I am BELIEVING in His power to heal Kristen,
to work the miracles that are needed to pull her through this,
and to keep His eye upon the precious baby she now carries in her womb.

We have all seen what God can do.
This is going to be yet another demonstration of His mighty power.
I speak this, in the name of Jesus and upon the Authority of His holy Word.

We would so appreciate you passing along this prayer request to every prayer list and prayer warrior you know.
Thank you ever so much, and God bless each one of you for your prayers,
support, friendship, and love.

The God On The Mountain

Life is easy, when you're up on the mountain,
And you've got peace of mind, like you've never known;
But, then things change, and you're down in the valley,
Don't lose faith, for you're never alone.

For the God on the mountain, is still God in the valley,
When things go wrong, He'll make them right;
And the God of the good times, is still God in the bad times,
The God of the day, is still God in the night.

We talk of faith when we're up on the mountain,
But talk comes so easy, when life's at its best;
Now its down in the valley of trials and temptations,
That's where faith is really put to the test.

For the God on the mountain, is still God in the valley,
When things go wrong, He'll make them right;
And the God of the good times, is still God in the bad times,
The God of the day, is still God in the night.

  9. Praying with you in faith for Kristen, the baby, and your whole family.
    I'm remembering a song we used to sing in Sunday School when I was younger:
    Nothing is impossible when you put your trust in God,
    Nothing is impossible when you're resting in His Word.
    Hearken to the voice of God to thee,
    Is there anything to hard for Me?
    So put your trust in God alone, and rest upon His Word.
    For everything, oh, everything, yes everything is possible
    With God.

We ask for complete healing in Jesus' Name. And we thank you, Lord, for your grace, your lovingkindness, and your faithfulness. We also pray for perfect wisdom for the doctors who are caring for Kristen and for perfect protection over every bit of medical care she receives. We thank you in advance for the good you are going to work out of this situation and for the peace you give to every member of this family as they keep their eyes on you! Thank you, Lord, for who You are! Thank you, Lord, for what You do! In Jesus's Mighty Name, Amen!

    1. Oh, it surely is sad...it has upset us so much to know that it happened due to their negligence, then to know they did not do what should have been done to help her. God is in control, and we just praise Him so much that she made it to the hospital when she did. Oh, God is so merciful to have spared her life, and we are just believing Him to bring her all the way through this with a perfectly healthy baby. Thank you SO much for your love, compassion, friendship, and prayers, my friend...it just means SO much to us! God bless you!

  22. Cheryl, I will continue to pray for Kristen and her baby and your family. I have shared this request to most of my Blogger blogs (I didn't share it to the private one where I test out things before I put them on my "real" blogs). I have shared it to Twitter, Pinterest, and Google+.

    I hope that Kristen and the baby are going to be fine! With my first pregnancy, I had to go to the ER several times because of dehydration, too. I couldn't even look at pictures of food without getting sick. Morning sickness/all day sickness is the pits. I'm sorry these negligent medical people made it even worse for your niece.

    We may not know what tomorrow holds, but praise the Lord, we know Who holds tomorrow. He has this. He's the Master Physician. I'm praying!

I cannot tell you how much your precious comments and love and encouragement means to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and may God just bless you abundantly, sweet friend. :)
